Taking into account all of the impact from Monday’s storm systems, 115,000 Alabama Power customers had service interruptions over the course of the day and into Tuesday morning. As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, service had been restored for more than 97,000 of the affected customers.

Additional crews from Mississippi Power are assisting in the effort, as some locations had a lot of tree damage on the lines, and broken poles. The hardest-hit areas include Hueytown, Gardendale, Jasper, Dora and Haleyville.
