Alabama Power employees Go Red
February is American Heart Month. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women.
Friday, Feb. 6, Alabama Power employees joined the movement to raise awareness about this disease by supporting National Wear Red Day.
Employees who wore red were entered into a photo contest and asked to:
- Take a picture with friends, family or coworkers.
- Engage in a heart healthy activity, such as walking, or hold a poster featuring heart healthy tips.
Take a look at how employees responded. To learn more about how heart disease impacts women as well as learn healthy eating habits, go to the Go Red for Women site.
