Alabama’s crystal blue skies, emerald waters and white sand beaches are so picturesque they are usually depicted in full, brilliant color.

Award-winning Alabama photographer Karim Shamsi-Basha decided to look at the Alabama Gulf Coast through a different lens on a recent trip. Given that many are visiting the state’s beaches this weekend, we thought we would use this opportunity to share those images with you.
