Videos taken after Hurricane Katrina show extent of Alabama devastation

The following features were produced in the days following the Aug. 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina’s devastating landfall on the Gulf Coast, including parts of Alabama. Alabama Power produced the videos to document the damage and recovery efforts of the company’s crews.
Neither video has been widely shown until today, which marks the 10th anniversary of the storm’s Gulf of Mexico landfall.
