There isn’t anything about the exterior of the 53,000-square-foot Autobahn Indoor Speedway in Bessemer that hints at the energy taking place inside.

The business opened a few weeks ago and is drawing fun-seekers, speed demons, corporate team builders and even a bachelorette party.

The all-electric go-kart racetrack is patterned after a popular pastime in Europe. The Bessemer location joins others in Baltimore, Memphis, Tennessee, and Jacksonville, Florida. Others are opening soon.
