Alabama Power crews continue restoring power outages caused by a rash of severe weather to hit our state.

Outages statewide are down to 3,500.

Alabama Power’s Southern Division has the highest number at this hour with 2,200 power outages, affecting cities like Montgomery, Tallassee and Alexander City.

Birmingham Division outages are down to just over 800, while Western Division has 270 customers affected.

Alabama Power encourages its customers to be safe and to continue to monitor local weather reports.

Earlier today, Alabama Power‘s Ike Pigott photographed crews working to restore outages along Cresthill Road near Montclair in Birmingham.
