James Spann: Dry through next week in Alabama
BLUE SKY AND SUNSHINE: Temperatures are mostly in the mid to upper 50s across Alabama this afternoon, and it is hard to find a decent cloud in the sky…
Tonight will be clear and cold with a low in the mid 30s early tomorrow; colder spots drop below freezing again.
THE WEEKEND: Dry air stays in place, meaning sunny weather tomorrow and Sunday with a high close to 60 degrees both afternoons. The low Sunday morning will be close to 40.
NEXT WEEK: A wave will pass by Monday, but no moisture means no risk of rain. The rest of the week looks dry; highs will be generally in the 60s, lows in the 40s. Seems like the next risk of rain will be around Sunday December 13, but model consistency has not been good with that system. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.
FOOTBALL WEATHER: Tomorrow’s SEC Championship game (Alabama vs Florida) will be played in the Georgia Dome, but for fans headed to the game, the weather outside will be just fine with a good supply of sunshine and an afternoon high around 60 in Atlanta.
