From design inspiration to award-winning restaurants, there is much to offer shoppers.

Holiday shoppers looking for something different don’t need to look any farther than Pepper Place Market District in Birmingham. The area, long filled with some of the most eclectic and original shopping sources in the city, kicked off the holiday season in November with its annual Holiday Open House.

More than 20 businesses hosted an evening of festivities complete with twinkling light and carolers. Visitors walked the streets as they moved from shop to shop enjoying holiday treats, in‐store specials and giveaways – some of which continue throughout the season.

“The holiday season at Pepper Place is a wonderful opportunity for our shops to share their collective talent and diversity with the public,” said Cindy Thigpen of Charlie Thigpen’s Garden Gallery. “We have much to offer – design inspiration and advice for indoors and out, plus award‐winning restaurants, a small theater, art gallery – and much more. Take an afternoon this holiday to explore Pepper Place and discover all that we have to offer.”
