The showers are moving northwest, and we will maintain the risk of some scattered light rain tonight. Temperatures this afternoon are in the 60s.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Clouds will persist tomorrow morning, and there could be a touch of light rain or drizzle in a few spots, but the sky should become partly to mostly sunny by afternoon as subsidence takes over. The high tomorrow should be close to 70 degrees in most places… then expect sunshine in full supply Sunday with a high in the mid 70s.

NEXT WEEK: An upper ridge will set up warm, dry weather Monday and Tuesday with a high at or just over 80 degrees. We will mention a slight risk of a shower Wednesday, followed by a better chance of showers, and possibly a thunderstorm or two, Thursday and Friday. It does’t look like a severe weather situation at this point… see the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

A-DAY: The sky should be partly sunny tomorrow for the 2:00 kickoff of the annual spring football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa with temperatures in the low 70s. No risk of rain.

AT THE BEACH: Mostly sunny days, fair nights tomorrow through early next week from Gulf Shores over to Panama City Beach with highs generally in the 70s. See a very detailed Gulf Coast forecast here.

HONDA INDY GRAND PRIX OF ALABAMA: The big event is coming up at the Barber Motorsports Park April 22-24… for now it looks like a few showers and storms are possible on Friday (April 22), followed by a trend toward drier weather April 23-24. Highs will be in the 77-81 degree range. Get ticket information here.
