Charm, quality and familiarity — three traits that Whillard’s BBQ & Grill has worked to hone.
The restaurant in Marion offers a variety of dishes to keep its patrons satisfied, most notably the grill’s made-to-order hamburgers that have become a local tradition.
Susan Horton, current owner of Whillard’s, recalls her visits to the restaurant during her adolescence.
“The [restaurant] has been around since I can remember,” Horton said. “I remember having my first burger and listening to the jukebox here when I was younger.”
Horton says these memories remind her of the importance of providing the best possible hamburgers to their customers.
“The thing that separates Whillard’s from other restaurants is our connection to the community and the emphasis that is placed on being fresh daily,” Horton says. “We take pride in going the extra mile to ensure that the tradition of consistently good food is maintained.”
