Two of the coaches worked under Nick Saban, one is second only to Saban as the longest tenured coach in the SEC and the fourth leads the team from the SEC East that gets Saban and the Crimson Tide this year.
Nick Saban won’t be at SEC Media Days until Day 3, but he cast a long shadow over Day 2.
Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Florida’s Jim McElwain, Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen and Vanderbilt’s Derek Mason all did a good job stepping out from under that shadow.
