Indy Grand Prix of Alabama on track for this weekend

IndyCar racers from around the world have descended on Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham this weekend.
Practice runs started today and run through tomorrow followed by qualifying for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21.
The Grand Prix begins with racer introductions at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, with the command for “Drivers, start your engines,” coming from grand marshal, actor Channing Tatum, at 2:35 p.m.

Tickets can still be purchased for $29 Saturday and $39 Sunday. Kids age 15 and under get in free with a ticketed adult, courtesy of Alabama Power. You can find more ticketing information here.
For those who can’t make the race, NBC Sports Network will carry qualifying Saturday and the race Sunday live.
Those listening on satellite radio can tune in to Sirius 214 and XM 209 for a live broadcast.
