Electricity restored to nearly 75% of Alabama Power customers affected by Hurricane Sally

Alabama Power’s storm team continues to make progress in the Mobile area, restoring power to customers affected by Hurricane Sally.

The company expects to have 75% of customers who are able to receive service restored this evening and 85% by Saturday evening.

Alabama Power customers in central and southeast Alabama have been restored and 56,000 outages remain, as of 4 p.m.

The force of more than 4,000 lineworkers and support personnel from 14 states committed to restoring power is focusing its efforts on the hardest hit areas in and near Mobile, including Dauphin Island and Bayou La Batre.
