Hyundai reveals design, features of Alabama-built 2021 Santa Fe
The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV will have a fresh new design, advanced front and rear lighting signatures and new driver safety and convenience features when it rolls off the automaker’s assembly line in Alabama.

The SUV is one of the flagship models produced at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama in Montgomery and the 2021 model will feature a number of changes, including:
- An exterior that refreshes the look of the bumpers, grill, headlights, taillights and LED lighting signature along with power-folding side mirrors, puddle lamps, front and rear skid plates, muffler design and new alloy wheels.
- An interior with options such as quilted premium nappa leather seating surfaces and soft-touch padding, premium door panel accents and eco-suede headliner, center stack and console design with new lower instrument panel, driver profile settings, ambient lighting selections and a larger rear cargo area.
- A drivetrain made up of a standard Smartstream 2.5-liter engine or an optional Smartstream 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, along with a new shift-by-wire transmission mode selector and a trailer sway control function for towing.
- Tech enhancements such as larger 8-inch audio display and 10.25-inch widescreen navigation display, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display, new digital key functions, remote start cabin temperature with heated and ventilated seat-settings control, Harman-Kardon premium audio system, Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), dynamic voice recognition, wireless charging pad for devices and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The 2021 Santa Fe will also be available in a new premium Calligraphy trim than enhances the styling, materials, features and technologies.
An available Smartstream 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid electric engine will be available. The hybrid version will be built in Korea.
