UPDATE: Only eastern and southern Alabama counties remain under tornado watch
The National Weather Service Birmingham has removed Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Montgomery, St. Clair, and Talladega counties from the tornado watch as the threat of severe weather has passed those locations.
For now, the tornado watch in Alabama continues until 3 a.m. for Baldwin, Barbour, Bullock, Butler, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clarke Clay, Conecuh, Cleburne, Crenshaw, Escambia Lee, Macon, Mobile, Monroe, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Tallapoosa and Washington counties and until 7 a.m. for Coffee, Covington, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston counties.
