Alexander City Jazz Festival
Celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Alexander City Jazz Festival with jazz, blues, Southern rock and more on June 11-12 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. On Friday, BRHS Jazz Band, AJ Ghent and Larkin Poe are the featured artists at Strand Park. On Saturday, The Selfless Lovers, The North 41 and Funk You are the featured artists at The AMP on Lake Martin. Admission is free. Follow on Facebook for lineup information and event announcements.

See archers in action at Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer, June 12-13
There’s a special beauty to the moment an archer draws back their bow – and presto! – the arrow hits the bullseye. On June 12-13, spectators are invited to watch archers compete at the Bow-Up Against Breast Cancer tournament at Cullman Community Archery Park. It’s free to watch the competition, where archers test their skill in hitting 3D animal targets. The tournament starts around 7:30 a.m. both days and benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. The Cullman Community Archery Park is at 2602 County Rd. 490 in Hanceville.

Loud and Proud: Pride Drag Show
Celebrate Pride Month with two drag shows hosted by Kharris on Saturday, June 12 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Entertainment includes Safaree, Campbell Starr, Rummorah Lee Campbell and Paris Campbell at Saturn Birmingham. Tickets are $15. Proceeds will go to The Way Station to aid the needs of the homeless, runaways and at-risk youths.
Lebanese Food & Cultural Festival
Enjoy some of the best Lebanese food in Birmingham June 11-12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church. The festival will offer drive-thru and takeout only. The menu will feature several classic dishes, including kibbee, grilled lemon chicken, spinach pies and grape leaves. Click here for the complete menu. The drive-thru option will be in the main church parking lot for those wishing to place and pick up orders without leaving their cars. Walk-up and takeout orders will be on the south side of the church, where it has been in previous festivals. There will be one way in and one way out with signs and safety tape as a guide. The silent auction will be offered online and will feature a variety of items. There will be multiple virtual events during the festival, from virtual tours of the church to other fun activities. Magic City Brew Festival
The 14th annual Magic City Brewfest will be Saturday, June 12 from 4-8 p.m. at Sloss Furnaces. A limited number of tickets are available for purchase at Ticketmaster, The Beer Hog and Hop City Birmingham. Tickets will be sold at the gate for $45. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 15 and younger are admitted free. Attendees ages 16 to 20 must purchase a designated driver’s ticket at the gate for $15. Moundville Saturday in the Park
A series of demonstrations and presentations related to Native American culture, archaeology, natural history and sustainable gardening will be Saturday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This week, Saturday in the Park will feature a gourd workshop with Betsy Irwin. Many of the topics will directly relate to the recently renovated exhibits in the Jones Archaeological Museum or the archaeology, flora and fauna of the park. The programs take place in front of or inside the Jones Archaeological Museum. Registration is required for this event only. The Moundville Archaeological Park is at 634 Mound State Parkway.

Fun Friday at The Wharf
Each Friday night through Aug. 6 (except June 18), The Wharf in Orange Beach is hosting Fun Friday from 6-9 p.m. for the entire family. Don’t miss out on life-sized board games like Jenga and Connect 4, bubbles and cornhole. DJ Silky will be spinning sing-along tunes with a chance for a giveaway prize. Grab a drink to go in the Entertainment District, then check out the special, one-night-a-week fair food offerings on various Wharf restaurant menus. Prattville Farmers Market
The Prattville Farmers Market is open through Saturday, Aug. 28 from 7 a.m. until noon. The market will feature locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as honey, farm-fresh eggs, baked goods and handmade bath and body products. Grab your blanket and crew for the 30th annual Free Friday Flicks beginning at dusk through the end of June. Free family films are shown every Friday at Veterans Park in Hoover. “Trolls World Tour” will be shown on June 11, “Tom and Jerry: The Movie” on June 18 and “The Croods: A New Age” on June 25.
