“My heart has always just told me to follow my dreams, pursue my goals and really know my destiny and purpose. I’m a pre-K teacher and I have a love for children. That’s where my passion is. They are very near to me. They go through so many things in life. They can teach us a lot of things – to be humble and have patience. As a kid, I wanted to be a teacher, but I’m just now a second-year teacher at 51. I’ve been in accounting for about 30 years, but this is the direction that God has geared me to. That’s my purpose and destiny. That’s my calling. I’m on the mountain of education.” – Meccosia Eggleston of Muscle Shoals.
Eggleston lives in Muscle Shoals and enjoys many things about the area.

“It’s the city of music. It’s like a big family. It’s a great family city. It’s a great place to live. It’s a great place to have outings with your family. We love it,” she said.
