Can’t Miss Alabama kicks off summer at the Peach Jam Jubilee

Peach Jam Jubilee
Get the weekend started at the Peach Jam Jubilee Saturday, June 26 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Clanton City Park. The event, hosted by the Chilton Chamber of Commerce, is free to the public. Peach Jam Jubilee will include arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, inflatables and hot air balloon rides. New this year will be a farmers market featuring Peach Park, Durbin Farms Market and Pierce Farms. See live performances by Ryan Mims, US Bank and David Nail.
Harry Connick Jr. and his Band – Time to Play!
Tickets are on sale for the Harry Connick Jr. and his Band – Time to Play! concert. The performance will be Friday, Aug. 27 at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater at 8 p.m. Purchase tickets at ticketmaster.com.
Beach Boys

Summer Shows at OWA
OWA in Foley will entertain with the production of its summer show “Wonder” until Sunday, Aug. 8, excluding Tuesdays. Performers will begin the show by leading guests from various points in Downtown OWA to the new Downtown OWA splash pad. Once at the splash pad, the 30-minute show will feature fire, water, earth and air. Grab a spot as performers dance and splash about while aerialists take flight above them. The show will recreate the iconic dance number of Lady Gaga’s and Ariana Grande’s “Rain On Me” performance, along with more music. Performances are free. Moundville Saturday in the Park
A series of demonstrations and presentations related to Native American culture, archaeology, natural history and sustainable gardening is underway at Moundville Archaeological Park through Saturday, Aug. 7. This week, Saturday in the Park focuses on tools and weapons, with Bill Skinner. Many of the topics relate to the recently renovated exhibits in the Jones Archaeological Museum or the archaeology, flora and fauna of the park. The programs take place in front of the museum or inside. Moundville Archaeological Park is at 634 Mound State Parkway.

Taco-Rita Festival
Bare Hands Gallery presents the Taco-Rita Festival Saturday, June 26 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sloss Furnaces. The festival will offer samples of Birmingham’s best tacos and margaritas. Taco vendors will compete for the best taco award and mixologists will compete for the “Birmingham’s Best Margarita” title. The event includes art vendors and music.
