Alabama’s Chilton County Peach Festival returns for its 75th year
On Saturday, June 25, the annual Peach Jam Jubilee returns to Clanton for a full day of fun, live music and food. Celebrating its 75th Chilton County Peach Festival, the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce and the city of Clanton are preparing for thousands of people to commemorate the county’s most famous staple – peaches – along with celebrating the peach farmers and the peach industry. Events will be held at Clanton City Park and Ollie Park.
The morning will begin with the Peach Parade at 9:30 a.m. During the parade, spectators will be introduced to the four reigning peach queens – Little Miss, Young Miss, Junior Miss and Miss Peach. According to information about the pageant, the goal is to develop young ladies to be their best while supporting their communities and honoring traditions.
Immediately following the parade, there will be a full day with an auction and a car show. During the day, musical acts will take the stage. Scheduled artists include Kasey Tyndall and Drake White.
Founded in 1947, the Chilton County Peach Festival is sponsored by the Clanton Lions Club. All proceeds will benefit the organization that serves the people of Chilton County. For more information, visit www.chiltonpeachfest.com and the Chilton County Chamber at www.chiltonchamber.org.
