Today, I want to show you how to save money, improve your health, benefit the environment and make your salads taste even better in less than two minutes! Yes, making your own salad dressing is cheaper, healthier and better for Mother Earth.

Here’s how to do it:

1️⃣ Pour some extra virgin olive oil – the healthiest of all oils – in a glass jar.

2️⃣ Add an equal amount of the vinegar of your choice for a 1:1 ratio.

3️⃣ Add a bit of mustard (Dijon-style is my fave) – it acts as a healthy emulsifier and adds body.

4️⃣ Add a small amount of something sweet like honey or berry-based jam. This balances the tartness of the vinegar and mustard, and reduces bitterness in some veggies, perfect for kids and sensitive adults.

Feel free to customize this recipe. Add herbs, spices, lemon/lime juice, nut butter or tahini. I usually make enough for three days’ worth of salads but make as much as you need. It’s fine on the cupboard shelf for a few days.

I hope this tip encourages you to ALWAYS make your own salad dressings and leave the store-bought versions on the shelf!

Please forward this tip to your friends and loved ones because the greatest gift we can give is the gift of better health.
