A return to football practice was not a complete return to normal at Auburn.
When it was apparent that some players weren’t taking the COVID-19 guidance to heart, team leaders made sure they got the message.
“In the beginning it was kind of rough because some players … everybody wasn’t just taking it as serious as I was,” said junior offensive lineman Brodarious Hamm.
At a team meeting, “we got it across to them that this is a serious matter,” Hamm said.
“There is too much at risk,” senior linebacker K.J. Britt said. “That’s what we told the team, look, there is too much at risk for you to be not accountable to your brother.”
