What do you want to be when you grow up?

“A doctor because you get to help people. You get to check people’s hearts and when people are sick, you can give them medicine. I think it’s cool.” – Londyn Robinson, 8, of Sylacauga.

She thinks the best thing about being a doctor is “helping the kids.” She hopes to help kids one day just like Dr. Chante Ruffin, her pediatrician, does. Ruffin is a pediatrician in Alexander City.

Robinson said if she could make one rule that everybody in the world had to follow, it would be to treat others with kindness.

“Don’t hurt people. Sometimes, people hurt other people and bully them. That’s very bad. Be nicer,” she said.

These are the faces and stories of people from all walks of life who call Alabama home. People of Alabama is a Red Clay Media and Alabama NewsCenter partnership.
