Try Alabama’s best brews at Magic City Brewfest June 3-4 at Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham  

The Magic City Brewfest is a weekend dedicated to craft beer and sampling the best that Alabama has to offer. More than 200 beers will be available, including rare, specialty and cask ales that are new to Alabama. Attend from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Sloss Furnaces at Twenty 32nd Street North.

It’s 9-1-1 for fun at the annual Haleyville Festival June 3-4

Nearly 50 years ago, Haleyville took the country’s first 911 call. On June 3-4, the 911 Festival celebrates its heritage and first responders. Thousands of visitors will hail the city for a parade and a classic car show, arts and crafts, kid’s activities and to see musical headliner Lonestar, winner of the American Country Music Association Song of the Year Award for “Amazed.” Click for a schedule of events.
