A line of strong-to-severe thunderstorms moved through the northern part of the state as heavy winds brought down trees and limbs. That sort of damage is quite widespread, particularly through Walker and Jefferson Counties. Additionally, some of these storms brought intense lightning which may have directly damaged equipment.
