The Kate Shepard House is an historic home once used as a school but now serves as a beautiful bed and breakfast in Mobile.

Wendy James is owner and inn keeper at the Kate Shepard House Bed & Breakfast and you will often find her sipping coffee and visiting with guests at the breakfast table.

On that table, you will find her famous Pecan Praline French Toast, a “creamy, crunchy delight” that James says “you have to experience” to fully appreciate.

The Alabama Tourism Department appreciates it enough to put it on its list of 100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama.
