Fresh, hot, fried catfish — one Rainsville restaurant has taken the popular meat to new heights.

Realizing a dream he’s held since he was young, Randy Moore, owner of Katy’s Katfish, opened the restaurant in 1993.

It’s been a hit with customers, and not just because of the award-winning dish.

It’s one of the state tourism department’s 100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die.
