Mobile employees help with cleanup

Members of the Alabama Power Service Organization in Mobile recently joined more than 350 community volunteers to help make a difference in the Toulminville community.
During the “Take Pride in Toulminville” event, volunteers collected more than 600 bags of trash along the Three Mile Creek Watershed. More than two dozen tires were collected along with a sofa, a child’s car seat and a roll of old carpeting. All of these are items that would end up in the Mobile River and eventually in Mobile Bay.
“Take Pride in Toulminville” is the second of several neighborhood cleanups planned along Three Mile Creek. The event was organized by the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program and sponsored by many local businesses, including Alabama Power.
