Hours of extreme cold temperatures across the state have caused numerous local outages across our service territory.
As of 7:30 Tuesday morning, there are 27,000 customers affected.
Alabama Power crews were on standby through the morning, and ready to roll in an instant to minimize the length of any outages.
The breakdown of affected customers by region:
