Alabama Power honored by Hispanic Network Magazine

Hispanic Network Magazine has named
Alabama Power Company to the magazine’s
“Best of the Best Top Utilities” annual ranking.
The California-based magazine polled hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies to evaluate businesses in healthcare, insurance, finance, higher learning and other areas. The 2014 rankings were compiled from market and independent research, diversity conference participation and survey responses to DiversityComm.
“This year’s ‘Best of the Best’ showcases the outstanding firms that are leading the way in diversity efforts at all levels,” said Mona Lisa Faris, president and publisher of Hispanic Network Magazine. “These companies know that we achieve so much more and success is amplified when we leverage our differences.”
The results of the new ranking of U.S. businesses are published in the spring issue of Hispanic Network Magazine, available at newsstands May 15. The magazine is celebrating its 22nd year.
“Our goal is to create an environment of teamwork in which Latin Americans and other minorities have access to all applicable business and career opportunities,” Faris said.
The magazine’s “nonbiased studies are valuable resources for jobseekers, business owners, students, consumers, senior management, business associations, employment agencies and consumer groups,” Faris said.
