About: Joshua Michael Robinson, a.k.a. JMR, is a 22-year-old Lakeland, Florida native singer/songwriter. He is the seventh of eight children and found his love of music when he listened to Jeff Buckley’s “Grace.” As a child, he tinkered with a piano before saving up enough lawn-mowing money to buy a MacBook Pro and begin recording at 14.

After high school, he began uploading music and started getting some attention. Labels began to reach out and he developed a following, managing to independently land syncs on MTV’s “Awkward” and ABC’s “Rookie Blue.” JMR moved to Nashville and by late 2015 he got a deal with Republic Records. With his wide variety of influences, you never know what to expect from his music. His song collections are a delicate balance between soulfully chilling acoustic guitars and hypnotic alternative electronic flourishes. His debut EP, “Ritual,” was released in March and is available digitally on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play.

You can keep up with JMR on his official website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
