Students at the University of Alabama were given an opportunity to hop on board with a wide variety of organizations on Thursday, Aug. 25.
Get on Board Day, led by student group The Source, is large-scale, annual event that encourages students to get involved in extra-curricular activities. The event showcases organizations on campus, as well as business and service opportunities within the Tuscaloosa community.

This year, more than 20,000 students descended on the Ferguson Student Center Plaza and Promenade to browse among 465 booths highlighting different student organizations, community partners and vendors.
The event includes honorary groups and diverse organizations representing advocacy, service, professional, recreational and political interests.
At the Alabama Power booth, students learned about volunteer opportunities with Renew Our Rivers, the future of transportation with electric vehicles and the Alabama Power Shorelines app and magazine.
