The dates and times of the 2020 Southeastern Conference-only football schedules have not been released, but all of the teams, including Alabama and Auburn, know who their added opponents will be.
The Alabama Crimson Tide will add an away game against the Missouri Tigers and a home game against the Kentucky Wildcats.
The Auburn Tigers will add a home game against the Tennessee Volunteers and an away game against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Auburn had already scheduled home games against Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU and Texas A&M, with away games against Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
The Crimson Tide schedule already included home games against Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State and Texas A&M, along with road contests at Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
This will be the 41st meeting between Alabama and Kentucky, with the Crimson Tide holding a 37-2-1 record against the Wildcats, including a current six-game winning streak that dates back to 2003. The two teams last met in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 1, 2016, for Alabama’s homecoming matchup, with the Tide claiming a 34-6 win over the Wildcats.
The SEC revealed the added opponents Friday, with plans to release full schedules in the next two weeks. The 10-game season begins Sept. 26.
“We made every effort to create a schedule that is as competitive as possible and builds on the existing eight conference games that had already been scheduled for 2020,” said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. “This schedule is a one-year anomaly that we have developed under unique circumstances presented by the impact of COVID-19.”
Under normal circumstances, SEC schools play the other six teams in their division, two non-divisional opponents and four out-of-conference games each season. In the newly revised schedule for 2020, each school will play four non-divisional opponents in addition to the other six teams in its division.
