Alabama Crimson Tide defense looks to improve in 2020

You don’t have to tell members of the Alabama defense they need to improve this year. The head of that side of the ball is driving that message home daily.
Defensive coordinator Pete Golding said the Crimson Tide defense last year had too many mental errors, missed tackles, third-down penalties and other fixable mistakes.
“We’re doing a better job of monitoring those things – putting them on tape, showing them every day, look, this is it. This is who we are, this is who we’re not,” Golding said.
“Everybody knows defense wins championships,” Golding added. “That’s why I came here. That’s why these kids came here.”
