Celebrate Vegas

Legends in Concert will feature “Celebrate Vegas” through Sunday, May 30, at the OWA Theater. The award-winning show will feature tributes to four artists who have had great impact on the entertainment capital of the world over the past 60 years. The lineup includes tributes to the stars of the original residencies in Las Vegas: the “Chairman of the Board” Frank Sinatra, and the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Elvis Presley, portrayed by Brian Duprey and Leo Days, respectively; Lisa McClowry as Cher will make you “Believe,” while Erika Moul will pay homage to Lady Gaga, the hottest ticket on the strip in recent years. Magic City Classic tickets

Tickets are on sale for the highly anticipated 79th annual Magic City Classic rivalry game at Birmingham’s Legion Field between Alabama A&M and Alabama State on Saturday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m. This year, fans will see a lot of changes around the festivities due to COVID-19 restrictions, including face coverings. Attendance will be limited to 25% of stadium capacity, and there will be no band performances or tailgating. Follow this link to purchase tickets.

Get into good trouble at the virtual Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee

The Jubilee Goes Global as a virtual event to fight COVID-19 March 5-7. Selma and the Alabama Black Belt were battlegrounds for the voting rights movement, which resulted in the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Alabamians stood up and peacefully fought for the right to vote. The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, national churches and religious organizations, civil rights and labor organizations and others supported the Alabama voting rights movement. Beers & Blooms: A music and craft beer festival at Bellingrath Gardens

Bellingrath Gardens’ Beers & Blooms is Saturday, March 6, from noon to 6 p.m. Enjoy one of Bellingrath’s signature seasons at this all-day craft beer festival and concert series on the Great Lawn. Guests will hear music from local bands, sample a variety of craft brews, shop with local vendors at their booths and feast with a selection of food trucks. Bellingrath’s Beers & Blooms is a safe, socially distanced event that will take place entirely outdoors on a 1-acre site at the heart of the gardens. To ensure social distancing, tickets are limited. Featured musicians are Lee Yankie, the Ryan Dreibelbis Band, Symone French & the Trouille Troupe and Nerf the World. Secret Art Trail in Huntsville

Enjoy a walking tour of 19 secret art pieces in downtown Huntsville. These pieces are publicly viewable around downtown, but they are in unusual places and some are tricky to find. This trail goes off the beaten path to get you to explore public alleyways, parking garages and locations you might otherwise never visit. View the trail here. Exceptional Foundation Chili Kick-Off

The Exceptional Foundation Chili Kick-Off is Saturday, March 6, at Avondale Brewing from noon until 6 p.m. The event is a warmup to the annual Chili Cook-Off. Enjoy food, drinks, live music and socially distanced fun. Ticket proceeds and a percentage of beverage sales will benefit Exceptional Foundation programs. Mask guidelines will be in place. Tickets are $20. Admission for children ages 12 and younger is free. The Chili Cook-Off is scheduled for Saturday, May 1.
