America’s Distinguished Young Woman Visits Company in Mobile

America’s Distinguished Young Woman Nicole Renard recently paid a visit to Alabama Power in Mobile. While there, she met with Division Vice President Mike Saxon, and Customer Service Manager Eric Patterson who also serves on the board of Distinguished Young Women.

The mission of Distinguished Young Women is to positively impact the lives of young women by providing a transformative experience that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent. The program stresses that young women should strive to be their best self by being healthy, involved, studious, ambitious and responsible.
A native of Washington, Renard was crowned America’s Distinguished Young Woman earlier this year in Mobile. She’s a student at Chapman University in Orange County, California where she studies broadcast journalism. The Alabama Power Foundation has supported the Distinguished Young Woman competition for more than two decades, and contributed $15,000 to the program in 2013.
