The wait is finally over for the Alabama 500 Weekend Oct. 23-25 at Talladega – NASCAR’s biggest race track. Race fans will get to see the Contender Round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup and the Camping World Truck Series. The Covered Bridge Festival is being celebrated Oct. 24 in Blount County.

The arts and crafts festival features quilts, antiques and a variety of activities. Blount County is known as the Covered Bridge Capital of Alabama.
