Marble City grills up a marvelous quesadilla in 100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die

Sylacauga is known as the Marble City. It’s also been called America’s Best-Kept Secret.

Not if we can help it.

At 112 North Broadway Ave., close by Crooked Creek, stands the Marble City Grill, a dream come true for owner Julie Smith, who bought and renovated the building into one of the town’s best restaurants.

The Marble City Grill serves up delicious lunch and dinner dishes, washed down with 145 varieties of beer.

One of the stars on the menu is the Spinach Mushroom Quesadilla, also known as the Chicken Quesadilla. It’s a perfect mélange of grilled mushrooms, fresh spinach, chicken and provolone, folded together in a warm flour tortilla.

So now Sylacauga can be known by one more nickname: “Home of one of the 100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die.”
