About: Born in Wisconsin, John Paul Roney, also known as Boom Forest, began his musical education in church. In hopes of singing with his family, Roney taught himself to match pitch with hymns. Though he never learned to read music, Roney successfully toured as the soloist of an internationally held boy’s choir and later began writing his own songs.

Roney aims to cultivate sincere human relationships and interactions through his music and performances. Following his self-titled “Boom Forest” album released in 2014, his upcoming album, “Post Knight Errant,” serves as a battle hymn in a world of struggle between humans and machines in the post-apocalyptic White City.
