Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, coarsely chopped
  • ½ sweet onion, finely diced
  • 4 (15-ounce) cans pork and beans
  • ½ cup Red Gold Ketchup
  • ¼ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple tidbits in juice, drained
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large oven-safe skillet or dutch oven, cook the bacon over medium-high heat on the cooktop until it just starts to crisp.
  • Add the onions and cook until they are translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the pork and beans, ketchup, dark brown sugar, drained pineapple, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Once combined, place uncovered in the oven and bake for 1 hour.
  • Serve warm.
