Culinarily speaking, New York City is one of the key destinations in the world for people seeking cuisines of all types.

But for comedian, actor and filmmaker Roy Wood Jr., finding good Southern food in the Big Apple has proved to be a challenge.

Birmingham native Wood loves the food he grew up on in Alabama and when he is in New York for long stretches, he sometimes longs for those flavors from home.
