Helping Horses Alabama takes animals from need to steed

Feature

Dozens of horses roam the 100 rolling acres of Six Brier Farm. Most of them have a checkered past … abandoned, abused or surrendered when their owners could no longer care for them.

Some will live out their days here.

Others are rehabilitated and offered for adoption.

Since 2011, a nonprofit organization called Helping Horses Alabama has taken in more than 55 of these homeless equines.
