Shoppers across the country to attend Christmas Village Festival
Kick off the holiday season at the shopping event of the year. The long-time traditional family event will include more than 600 booths at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex. Select from the finest in arts, crafts and gifts Nov 3-6 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for children.

Spend a beautiful fall day at the Moss Rock Festival
One of the most popular eco-creative art festivals is back for its 11th year. Moss Rock will feature artwork, which depicts, is influenced or was inspired by nature. One hundred gifted artists will showcase their works at the Preserve’s Village Green Nov. 5-6.
Festival favorites include taste testing at the Sweetery, live music on the Crescent Stage, Café by the Wood and more.
The festival is Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy concerts and great food in Montgomery
The Alabama National Fair runs through Nov. 6 at Garrett Coliseum. There is nothing ordinary about this event. Fairgoers can expect great carnival rides, delicious food, livestock competitions and children’s activities.

Taste the nation’s best-grown peanuts
The city of Dothan celebrates its harvest season and honors its peanut farmers at the largest peanut festival in the country. Thousands of visitors will savor every moment of the National Peanut Festival Nov. 4-13.

Pecans can make any dish decadent. Have great weekend fun at the Alabama Pecan Festival Nov. 4-6 in Mobile. Celebrate this leading agricultural-tourism event with family and friends.

Don’t miss the St. Nicholas Russian/Slavic Food Festival
Enjoy some of the best ethnic food and pastries at the 34th food festival near Birmingham. Slovakia and Russian Parrish members brought their well-kept recipes from their homeland to share with the Sisterhood of St. Olga for this special annual occasion. Visit the Russian Beriozka store for an imported gift or souvenir. The festival begins Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Nov. 6 from noon until 5 p.m.
