The city of Tuscaloosa announced Monday it will temporarily halt curbside recycling because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“To reduce potential COVID-19 exposure for sanitation workers, the city will suspend curbside recycling after Thursday, April 2. Recycling drop-off sites and the recycling center will also close at the end of the day on Friday, April 3,” the city posted on its website.
There are 15 recycling drop-off locations across the city.
Weekly residential trash collection is not affected, the city said.
