About: Detroit native Daniel Dewan Sewell, aka Danny Brown, is known for his progressive style of rap music. No doubt influenced by his surroundings, Brown knew he was meant to be a musician when he was only a kindergartner. As an artist, he is true to himself and the stories he wants to tell.

Brown’s eclectic style and complexities of emotions have garnered national attention for his music. In 2013, he won the MTV Woodie award for best video with his single “Grown Up.” By 2014, he was featured in Adidas’ “Top 10” sneaker campaign and the following year, his single “Smokin & Drinkin” was featured in HBO’s “Silicon Valley” promo. One thing is for sure: Brown knows no bounds when it comes to his concerts. Thus, festivalgoers interested in riveting and raw performances are sure to be pleased with his act.
